Sisko Ylimartimo, D.Art, Ph.D., works as a lecturer in the Faculty of Art and Design at the University of Lapland. She has examined the significance of winter in the world of fairy tales in her study "Lumikuningattaren valtakunta" [The Realm of the Snow Queen], in which she analyzes Andersen’s fairy tale The Snow Queen.
